AztecAssist is SDSU’s interactive text feature designed to quickly connect students with campus resources. Simply text specific keywords to 619-594-7008, and AztecAssist will reply with helpful links to SDSU resources. If AztecAssist is not able to provide you with a reply, a staff member will respond to you.
In addition, you may receive important messages from SDSU Connects via text at (619) 594-7008. To ensure you don’t miss critical updates, please add this number to your contacts. These messages may include time-sensitive information, so make it a habit to review them promptly and take any necessary action to stay on track for a successful semester.

- Text “STOP” to 619-594-7008. You will no longer receive critical and time-sensitive messages from AztecAssist/SDSU Connects.
- Note: You can re-enable AztecAssist at any time by following the opt-in steps below.
2. How do I opt back into AztecAssist?
Text “START” to 619-594-7008. This re-enables AztecAssist and allows you to continue receiving messages based on keywords.
3. What if my keyword is not recognized?
SDSU Connects will reply on or before the next business day (campus closures and holidays apply). Your keyword will be added to the list of recognized keywords going forward, as we continue to build our response database.
4. Should I use AztecAssist for emergencies?
No, AztecAssist is not monitored 24/7. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. For a campus safety issue, call SDSU Police at 619-594-1991.
